Palia

The settlement "Palia"
After passing by the bed of .the stream "Krafsidonas", and before arriving in the railway lines, you will find the oldest settlement of Volos, called "Palia". Under a law of 1958, the area was characterized as archaeological, and therefore no block of flats was built there. Many remarkable buildings have been survived in the area, which nowadays are used for various purposes (cultural, recreational, etc.), while other buildings were destroyed by earthquakes or during the wars.
